Sterling Silver Care

  • Keep it away from lotion, sunscreen, perfume, cosmetics, and perspiration.
  • Keep it dry. Do remember dry silver is happy silver. Take your jewelry off before sleeping, showering, bathing, swimming, fitness, gardening, house-cleaning, or other activities that may contact with water or moisture.
  • Keep it clean. If some local jewelry stores provide cleaning services for free, it will be very convenient. If you need to clean your jewelry by yourself, use a soft cotton or microfiber cloth that isn't abrasive. To clean the lotion buildup on the silver mounting, use a small amount of gentle dish detergent on a microfiber cloth or soft toothbrush, gently rub the silver, rinse it several times in warm water, and carefully dry it. Just so you know, chlorine and bleach should be avoided because they accelerate tarnishing.
  • Store it properly. While not in use, the silver jewelry should be kept absolutely dry and stored in a tarnish-proof fabric bag or box.
